Anticipation-Day 12

If I could help the sons of Adam understand anything, it would be this: just as with Yosef, the Divine knows your name.  When the He speaks it forth, it is full of revelation that is available to explore.  When Divine names the sons of Adam, there are meanings in those names to discover and walk in, which will cause them to experience Him in a much greater and more intimate way.  Every time they seem to stumble upon or receive a hint of the creativity encompassed in their name, it causes a greater dependency on Divine Essence to fulfill the call. It enlarges so He can come and fill the new space.  It’s just like breathing.  Inhale understanding; exhale application.
Think of what may have happened to Yosef when I, the angel, called to him by name.  “Yosef, son of David, do not be afraid to take Miriam as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit”.  It all happened so beautifully in the dream, but he was a bit confused in his emotions and thoughts when he woke up.
Can you not see Yosef’s mind on over drive, thinking, “What did the angel just say?  Son of David?  Of course I know I am a descendant of David, but me??? I didn’t know it meant THAT!  I mean me? And all the scriptures he’s ever been taught about the history of the Jewish people and the promised Messiah come flooding in.  What?  Wait a minute.  Slow down.  Yes, there are scriptures that indicate it is going to be a virgin birth, but c’mon.....Miriam? And I am simply supposed to suspend logic and rush headlong into something I am not prepared for?”
The Divine is the author of creativity.  You can’t make this stuff up.  A virgin birth!  A miracle baby! A couple of unknown nobodies partnering in one of the most creative ideas Divine has  ever had.  And the Bible is full of them!  It is crazy how the sons of Adam read some of the astounding accounts and it becomes a fable, when if you think about it, they hang all of their faith on a creative idea that makes no sense to the natural mind.  A virgin birth?
Creative ideas bypass logic and common sense to unlock a heart response. In Yosef’s case, Divine Essence was telling him, “You were made for this day.  I have placed you in this location at this specific time, because I am about to turn the page of history and open the door to the future.  When I do, NOTHING is going to be the same.  You are the hinge on which I am hanging the door.”  WOW!
And it is the same for any of the sons of Adam when they step into ownership of the creative word, or any creative idea.  It becomes a co-partnership with the Holy Spirit to be the hinge on which He hangs a door to more.  Our partnership as angels or sons of Adam opens up something even we angels don’t fully understand.  There is quiet awe and greater humility that happens internally when we begin to understand that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
And may I submit to you, that in order to fully enter the more God wants to open up through their lives, the sons of Adam must accept that THEY are a many chambered temple.  There are rooms inside them which Divine invites them to explore.  I thoroughly enjoy watching some who have only perceived themselves as a one room cottage when the Divine broke in uninvited and unexpected. It was like He abruptly held a mirror to their faces and said, “Look at you for a change.  See what I see. You are amazing, and I am about to prove it to you in the most blatant way.  I am going to offend you with the beginnings of a gift or opportunity you were not even aware of, and never even wanted.”
When He wants to communicate a message urgently, The Divine is not necessarily a gentleman.  He will confront with the “more” that was never expected or even perceived, and it might scare the living daylights out of some.  It just might cause an experience like Joseph that says, “I always knew my name was Joseph, but I had no clue that I would be the one.” Some even want to run away because the unveiling is too overwhelming and frightening, and all the objections of being too old, of knowing what they are already called to do, of time it will take to invest in and develop that hidden and budding identity, come rushing forth to overwhelm.  There might even be feelings of anger, especially if one perceives the invitation as imposition. For some, it causes an identity crisis, almost like a betrayal, because they feel they should know themselves better. Actually, causing the identity crisis is exactly what he Divine is most interested in. It is an invitation for the sons of Adam to see themselves as made in the image and likeness of the Divine.
God’s activation of identity upsets the status quo.  What was expected, what was comfortable, is totally superseded by potential and becomes an all-encompassing life journey.  Like Joseph, it is a summons to give up what is perceived as a predictable existence, to be part of some unfolding and marvelous story. Most of the time, the dream is two-fold.  It stretches past the membrane of the present notion of self, while also impacting others.  Joseph changed, but his change provided the platform for his Son to become all God had called Him to be.
Embracing the dream means agreeing to cooperate with the Divine Essence to design something new, whether it is an object, a thought, an insight or a solution.  We angels call that creativity.  We co-create with the Divine in partnership; in relationship, and we are thrillingly enlarged. These creative opportunities are invitations to think like Divine. They bring an expression of Him into the world, and awaken the sons of Adam to how much they mean to Him and Who He wants to be for them. Yosef was about to find out just who he was and who he could be and take his place in the ongoing story of creation.
